The Omaha Royals are HOT!!!

We swept the double-header against Indianapolis and did it with great pitching and some timely hitting...

Linton threw the first game and gave up just 1 run in 5 2/3 innings and A.D. (Adrian Dolarque) picked up his first save with 1 1/3 of scoreless..

Scott Anderson tossed the second game and threw 6 innnings and gave up just one run also... with Ed Pierce coming in and starting the 7th he struggled a little and gave up 1 run and had 1st and third with 2 outs when they brought A.D. in to strike the hitters out for his 2nd save of the day...

Jeff Grotewold had another great day... he started the offense in the first game with a 2 run homer and a hit... then went 4-4 in the second with 2 doubles... he is Smokin'....

I just sat in the bullpen and watched the game. with 7 inning games and the way our starters are throwing it is getting hard to get our bullpen the work they need... this was Ed Pierces first appearance... and I have thrown only 1 inning in the last 2 weeks... it is hard to stay shapr under these circumstances... but the rain and snwow had alot to do with that...

I guess yesterdays original post did not get to the NewsServer... I sent another short one in after realizing that it did;nt mkae it... With Netcom you type a post up and send it... but if you accidently type a newsgroups name it will just nuke the file and say it could not be sent... I guess it would be smart to type them up with windows notepad and then cut and paste!!!

gotta go... its 11:30 and we have a early buss to Des Moines tomorrow... I wont put up a post until Sunday night ... then not again after that until Friday the 20th... we will be in Okie City for 4 games...

later all
