Today we have off...
The problem is that I am away from my wife and 10 1/2 month old son who is starting to wonder where the hell his crazy old man is...
I really hate the holidays when playing away from family... I really have not felt this until this year... I have been married for 2 years now but last year we did'nt have Zachary... not it is totally different...
My wife has a 15 year old son from a previous marriage, and cannot just pack up her bags and come up here for an extended time... I really need to to see my kid... he is starting to walk and is changing daily...
This is one of the negatives of pro ball... everyone thinks it is such a great job... well when you make 5 million a year and can afford to fly your family anywhere at anytime then it might be fun...
but this league and the situation I am in... not able to settle down in Omaha until after the Major League roster is set... has made this a very expensive 2 weeks... the hotel here is not that bad but the deal they have for us is the worst...
This is starting to sound whiny so I will stop... I just miss everything I had before the season began... and have not been around for the last 2 months... I just hope the son remembers me!!!
WE travel to Oklahoma City tomorrow morning... and play 4 days there and are home again on Thurs night/Friday morning...
I will have posts for those 4 days when I get back...
time to call the wife and hear the kid goo-gooing in the background...
