It has rained all day here,, the game was called in PingTung (its only 5 miles) and they had a short pitchers practice... I showed up and they were all wondering why? I just said I needed to stay in shape and took off running sprints...

I really have started to get into a nice qroove here, but I won't turn down the opportunity to go back to my wife and kid... my wife told me last night that he is getting real expressive and is almost mean to her. but is great around the neighbor kids... and lets the baby two house down pull his hair and everything and just sits ther and does his thing...He is taking steps now.. but only 2-3 at at time... at his 1 year old checkup he weighed 30 pounds... not bad... and he is THROWING !!! and all left-handed... I could die now!!!

Packed a little more and have everything but the 'puter in a suitcase or bag... the club assistant came by my room today and just walked in and started to go through my bag.. I had to physically push him ou tmy door.. the interpretor then came back with him and said he wanted to see if I had any equipment or theirs.. I assured them I did'nt but he started to walk right back in... I came about this close ( two fingers about 1/4 inch apart) to just decking him... but he stands about 5'4" and as mad as I was I could have hurt him... He wanted my uniform, I gave him all my pants 3 home 3 away and 3 jerseys... but he would not leave... it was like he HAD to check my bag... I then took everything out for him to see.. while a few choice words came out in english and he then left... but why? what is it they have here I would really want, my own little supply of cockroaches, maybe some toilet paper of theirs... I just sat in my room and wished I was already on the plane...

They have my passport, and also owe me about 4,000 US$ cash.. I have heard stories where they just say be happy we are giving you this back now get the hell out of here... but those stories are old and most probaly originated from Mexico. they are a tad too tense about baseball here... the manager has never even played the game... EVER!!! he can't even toss a ball up in the air and hit it... let alone a pitched ball, and he is our manager. ):<

I have figured out the idea of online services.. You can get anything you have on Compuserve, AOL, Prodigy etc on the NET.. but knowing how to get there is the battle... with the services they just paint a nice front-end on what all the netters do every day.. Once I figured out how to use a Gopher server or do an Archie search I realized this.. this time over in Taiwan has left me with tons of thinking time... as well as sleep time!!!

just a thought.. I've been known to have those now and again!
