Hey... stop the presses... We won one!!!

Yep thats right the Royals won their 3rd spring game in great fashion...

We started out in the style of old by scoring only 1 run through the first 7 innings... with the starter Paskevitch going 5 strong innings an leaving wiht a 1-1 tie... he gave up the only run in the 4th on a throwing error by the third baseman Caraballo, with a lite drizzle the ball was a little wet and that was partly to blame... well the brought Strange in to pitch the 6th and 7th.. He throws a fastball and a sinking change up... and he just did'nt get the change-up down to Rob Nelson in the 6th... and Nelson hit a line-drive off the right field fair-pole.. for a 2 run dinger... that put the score at 3-1 and I had the 8th to face the 3-4-5 part of the Tribes order... Jeter (lefty), Nelson (lefty) would have been the first two hitters I was to face.. but they pinch hit with righties... I faced a righty and goofed around and ended up with a full count... I was bound and determined not to walk him.. and gave in with a decent fastball away.. he singled up the middle... The next batter I started off with a good curve and then went away... he hit a line drive that was headed down the first base line... and then Ed Jurak made this diving stab at the ball...and came up with it... I was already headed to back up 3rd base thinking it would be a double... well he then just had to touch the bag for a double play... the next guy I faced I threw a real good curve and then threw another a little more down in the strike zone and got him to pop to left...Then our offence woke up for the top of the ninth... we scored 5 runs... it was great... not only to pick up a win in relief... but for us to stick it up Clevelands blankety blank for once... Pat Perry cam through and picked up his first save this spring with a good 9th.. and the X-men win one more...

The arm felt all right... I did'nt have a real good idea with my fastball... what new!!! but I used my curve ball again to keep the hitters guessing... I will have to get used to this I think... I really don't have TOO much to gripe about.. I am throwing!!!! that is what is SO GREAT!!!!

Check out David Lewis' Web page he has set up for me and the reports...

he has done a great job...
