Yes!!!! I actually got someone out!!! and it was'nt on my Sega
Well they were division II hitters... but I threw some decent stuff at them today.
I tossed 2 innings with 1 strike out 1 walk and 1 base hit ( single up middle)... I had pretty good stuff and surprised a few scouts and even Bob Boone.. So much for ME...
We won 3-1 on 9 innings and for a bunch of has-beens and never weres... we not too bad!!! The desire is there and the players all have the experience...KC has done a good job of recruiting these replacements...
Orlando Lind threw the first 3 innings striking out the side in the 2nd... he ended up with 4 or 5 strike outs... Mark Smith tossed the 4th and 5th getting out of a 2nd and 3rd jam... and yours truly tossed the 6th and 7th striking out my second batter looking with a nasty fastball away.. and Bo can't remember his name tossed the 8th and 9th to close it up...
We are a little rusty with the bats... but that is always the case early in spring... the pitchers are about 2 weeks ahead of the hitters on average... but we played excellent defence and the hitting will come... look for us to win alot more this spring...
We travel to Sarasota tomorrow to play the White Sox... I get to stay back.. as well as the 3 other pitchers that threw today and the ones that will throw on Satruday... for a light work-out and probably a round of golf!!!
