Some more cuts today... there were alot of smiling faces after they handed out meal money for the last week of spring...
They released INF Mark Brakebill, I really did'nt know him all that well... I did accidently hit him while he was standing in while I was warming up the other day against the Reds... he was pissed...
Also Released LHP Steve 'CHET' Adkins, he had a terrible start early in spring against the Marlins... giving up 7 earned runs in the first inning... and walks hurt him all spring... A great guy that will probably get picked up soon...
They are slowly thinning guys out and like I said in an earlier post. I won't count on anything until I hear the National Anthem on opening day in Detroit!!!
In the game today against the Marlins we were losing 4-0 in the 3rd when I went into the clubhouse to get some work in... Tom Dozier was struggling for the first time all spring...I really think the guys that felt that were on the bubble are taking a deep breath.. problem is that you can't relax for a second... there is always someone on your ass looking to take your job... even in replacement ball!!!
If anyone one in KC is reading this... I am looking for a decent 486 sx,dx 25 or higher to use for posting on the road during the season. If you know of a company that would sell,rent or lease laptops... let me know... I have DOS and Windoze and mt Netcom Software... even a mono screen would do... since it would just be for posting on the road...
any ideas would be appreciated...
